CMMS stands for computerized maintenance management system. A CMMS is software that helps maintenance teams keep a record of all assets they are responsible for, schedule and track maintenance tasks, and keep a historical record of work they perform.
Fiix is a cloud-based CMMS that will make your current maintenance operations more efficient and provide more detailed reporting and accountability. You will be able to easily track work orders, schedule tasks, receive external work orders, monitor asset history, manage inventory, and perform preventive maintenance that will lead to longer asset life and fewer work outages.
For an organizations like Georg Fischer, a cloud-based CMMS is particularly important because it allows maintenance teams to increase machine uptime, produce meaningful reports, and create one centralized solution where all work orders and maintenance activities can be tracked.
Your contract will be for a one-year term with auto-renewal on the anniversary date. If you are unhappy with Fiix and wish to end the contract, you will have the option to cancel at the time of renewal.

Setup is straightforward. When you first log in, you will set up your user account(s), add your assets, and then create and assign work orders as needed. There are “how-to” videos available for each action you will need to take. Fiix will also host webinar sessions to get new users up and running.
After you sign up through your customer success manager, a user account will be created. You will receive an email on the steps you need to take to set up your CMMS. Don’t worry—We will be there every step of the way to help.
Transferring data varies depending on your current system, but it’s generally straightforward. If you are currently using another CMMS, you can likely export your assets and work orders into a CSV file and upload them into the Fiix CMMS. If you are using pen and paper, or another non-digital system, you will need to create your assets and work orders in the Fiix CMMS manually.
There is an established development team of professionals already working with other maintenance teams from Georg Fischer. They will be available to help guide you through getting started, as well as deliver hands-on training. They will also be a support mechanism for your team so you’re not left in the dark.
