Toronto, Canada—July 12, 2018—Fiix announced today that co-founder and CEO Marc Castel will take on the role of Executive Chair of the Board, with President and COO James Novak assuming the role of CEO, effective July 9, 2018.
The move follows several years of exponential growth for Fiix, including a Series A round of funding in 2016 and a $12 Million Series B in May of this year. In that time, the company has been focused on enabling maintenance teams to move from pen and paper systems to software solutions with an intuitive, comprehensive, and easy-to-implement cloud-based CMMS.
“In the past four years alone, we have grown to nearly 100 people, we have consistently doubled revenue year-over-year and we have effectively penetrated the enterprise market, all while deepening our commitments to society and the planet as well as our stakeholders,” says Castel.
Novak joined Fiix in 2014. He previously spent thirteen years at BlackBerry, with roles that included VP of Channel Accounts where he successfully led strategy definition and execution for global hardware, software and services.
“As a business, there is huge market potential ahead of us—maintenance and asset management is undergoing a digital transformation as organizations look to software to help them meet bigger productivity demands and cost reduction measures. And Fiix is at the forefront of this transformation. We have a fantastic team, we have spent the time building systems and processes to scale, and we are actively partnering with our customers to build the best solution on the market,” says Novak.
