Maintenance Assistant Announces 4th Consecutive Quarter of Record Growth!

Toronto, ON (Oct 22, 2013) Maintenance Assistant Inc., an innovative global CMMS solution provider, reports another record quarter with revenues up 400% over the same period last year. “Maintenance Assistant’s market momentum is fuelled by increasing CMMS adoption in Latin America, Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific; tougher regulatory and compliance requirements; and a broad-based shift away from reactive and toward preventive maintenance. There is a strong desire for companies to be organized, but there is still skepticism that expensive legacy EAM solutions provide an ROI over the asset life. Maintenance Assistant’s low cost, low risk next-generation CMMS system fills the gap, and delivers superior value to our customers”, said Marc Castel, CEO Maintenance Assistant. “Our multi-tenant architecture and automated provisioning system has allowed growth to explode over the last four quarters with negligible impact on our infrastructure costs.”

Maintenance Assistant CMMS delivers the agility, flexibility and simplicity needed to equip maintenance professionals with the information they need to organize and automate their maintenance activities, with some clients reporting double digit improvements in their maintenance practices compared to paper systems. By helping companies on board effortlessly and go live in a matter of days, not months, Maintenance Assistant is improving adoption and accelerating the return on their CMMS implementation. “Add-on seats for existing customers were up 34% over Q2 alone, demonstrating a deepening commitment to improving maintenance among our users”, said Jeff O’Brien, Director of Customer Success.

“Maintenance Assistant recently hit a major milestone with its 250th product release, demonstrating our dedication to continuous improvement and innovation in user experience and design”, said Daryl Sedgman, Company President & Product Manager. “Organizations from all over the world recognize the need for simplicity, and it remains the major reason why companies abandon legacy systems and adopt our solution.” Some notable new companies using MA CMMS include Komico Technologies, Victory Petroleum, FreeWave Technologies, Chattanooga Boiler and Tank Co, NPI Medical, Thunder Cranes in Malaysia, RTE in Ireland, Laurent Bakery in Australia and the Ministries of health in both Vanatu and Tonga.

New Features

In Q3, Maintenance Assistant released more CMMS workflow improvements to speed up productivity while introducing behind the scenes middleware enhancements to accelerate the transfer of information from the database to the user through the cloud. “We’re always working hard to bring innovative solutions to our customers”, said Bob Kandic, chief software architect. “With the global migration to mobile, we introduced QR code functionality, which lets technicians access vital maintenance information with the scan of a QR code using their iPhone, Android or Blackberry. No need for custom hardware; technicians can use the new functionality on consumer smartphones. Work order tasks, vital safety and operational instructions, schematics and technical manuals are now easily accessible right at the technician’s fingertips as they perform the work.” Maintenance Assistant also introduced numerous other enhancements such as drag and drop, auto refresh and advanced filtering. The net result is a faster and more efficient workflow and a better user experience.

Outlook for Q4

Maintenance Assistant CEO Marc Castel anticipates growth to remain solid in the final quarter of 2013. “Historically, the fourth quarter has been strong for us as maintenance budgets free up towards the end of the year.  We are also releasing our new purchasing module later this month, and we expect a spike in sign-ups as we roll out this major piece of functionality.”
