New Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Business Development to lead accelerated growth strategy

Toronto, Canada – February 23, 2016 – Maintenance Assistant Inc, the industry leading provider of cloud-based maintenance and asset management software, today announced the appointments of Dan Shaw as the Vice President of Sales and Don Scraper as the Vice President of Business Development.

Dan will focus on further expanding Maintenance Assistant’s customer base through improved acquisition, engagement, and retention across all markets. Previously the Vice President of Sales at Maintenance Assistant, Don Scraper will leverage his extensive industry expertise to lead the partner platform strategy with a focus on managing the emerging business opportunities from OEMs, MRO vendors, value added resellers, and systems integrators.

“Dan is a tremendous addition to our team and the timing could not be better. Maintenance Assistant is in the midst of expanding its products, footprint, and sales channel in the enterprise market and adding Dan strengthens our position as we continue on our march to disrupt the market,” said Marc Castel, CEO.

“We’re building innovative, differentiated solutions and now we’re ready to scale. Dan’s expertise in enterprise software sales will be instrumental in this accelerated growth effort,” said Castel.

Shaw comes to Maintenance Assistant following 10 years of leading sales organizations in both the technology and software sectors. He built the mid-market sales team at D2L where he was accountable for the North American market. Prior to D2L, Dan led the Americas Account Development organization at OpenText and was responsible for supporting $300M in annual revenue in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

On his new appointment, Shaw said “I’m excited to be joining the Maintenance Assistant team at this pivotal moment in the company’s growth. Despite the wealth of maintenance and asset management solutions available to the industry, there remains a large gap in terms of meeting the expectations and needs of customers. I’m looking forward to stepping in and working alongside senior leadership to fill that gap as we continue to challenge the market with innovative solutions.”

“Execution of our sales strategy is critical for our rapid growth plans throughout 2016,” added James Novak, COO. “In addition to having Dan join the team, we’re thrilled to have Don lead our partner ecosystem strategy. The emerging interest in our platform from partners of all shapes and sizes presents a tremendous opportunity for Maintenance Assistant to rapidly expand its strategic footprint. We see this as a critical component to building upon our differentiated position over the short and long-term,” said Novak.
